Tour Companies We Can Recommend

There are many great Scottish tour companies. We recommend one or two who we have had a great personal experience with, but we’re sure you’ll find others who are of an excellent standard as well, if these don’t suit your travel plans.

Both of those below are found in other parts of Scotland. Their recommendation will be of use if you’re going to be visiting Edinburgh or the Western Isles.

Heart of Scotland Tours

If you will be in Edinburgh and want to visit Scotland by bus, we thoroughly recommend Heart of Scotland.

There are a great many Edinburgh-based tour bus companies, but Heart of Scotland offers a slightly more intimate and luxurious approach, at extremely competitive rates. Heart of Scotland employ a fleet of smaller tour buses, giving customers a more personal tour with a max. group of 16. Their buses are brand new and extremely comfortable, with leather interior and larger, tinted windows. We’ve found their guides to be really friendly and highly knowledgeable, not only about the sites but with great stories to boot.

The Wee Red Bus by Heart of Scotland offer a wide range of day tours, including Loch Ness, St Andrews, The Best of Scotland and The Borders. Overnight tours are also available, with destinations such as Inverness, Skye and a five-day Grand Tour of Scotland.

He is an extremely distinguished photographer with a catalogue of stunning local photography which has to be seen to be believed – see the Harris 365 Facebook or Instagram for more.
